ATLAS ONE is specially designed general health screening for individuals who want a general overview of their health status.

While not exhaustive, this general health screening covers important non-communicable and lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, high cholesterol, renal dysfunction, liver abnormalities and metabolic dysfunctions. Furthermore, this assessment includes an examination of the various organs of the body e.g. heart, lungs, liver, kidney, blood etc.

As with all our ATLAS Programs, your lifestyle risk factors are assessed through a survey of your history of smoking, family history of premature cardiovascular disease as well as various measurements of your body such as blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), lipid profiling, blood sugar etc.

As heart attack and stroke are amongst the top five causes of death in Singapore, a detailed personal cardiovascular risk assessment will be undertaken based on the health screening results of ATLAS I and will include a 10-year lifetime risk assessment of developing heart attack/stroke.

Furthermore, your ‘heart age’ will be calculated and our doctor will assess if you possess the seven ideal cardiovascular health metrics that are predictors of your health and longevity.

 ATLAS II

ATLAS TWO is an expansion of ATLAS I and provides a further detailed profiling of your various body functions like kidney and liver function. It includes the following:

• An expanded renal and liver profile
• An additional screening of urine albumin (which is an important cardiovascular and renal risk indicator)
• A Chest-X-Ray to identify abnormalities in the respiratory system

Recommendation:

• Suitable for all ages and for individuals wanting a more detailed assessment of their various non-communicable and lifestyle diseases
• Suitable for individuals between 20 – 35 years of age

Diagnostic Items

ATLAS II is an expansion of ATLAS I and provides a further detailed profiling of your various body functions. It includes an expanded renal and liver profile as well as an additional screening of urine albumin (which is an important cardiovascular and renal risk indicator).

ATLAS THREE features an expanded analysis of the non-communicable and lifestyle diseases encompassed in both ATLAS I & II and explores your health through various tests including Thyroid Screening. It additionally includes the following:

• A more detailed screening of diabetes mellitus with the addition of HbA1c (a measurement of blood sugar control over the last two to three months)
• A hepatitis status assessment (Hepatitis A and B)
• A screen for thyroid disease
• A stool examination for occult blood

Recommendation:

• For adults wanting a more comprehensive assessment of their health status beyond the essentials of ATLAS I & II
• Suitable for individuals 40 years of age and above

Diagnostic Items

ATLAS III features a more detailed screening of diabetes mellitus with the addition of HbA1c (a measurement of the blood sugar control over the last two to three months), an assessment of your hepatitis status (Hepatitis A and B), a screen for thyroid disease and a stool examination for occult blood.

 ATLAS IV

ATLAS FOUR is an extension of ATLAS III and boasts a further detailed health screening program by including STD and Cancer Screening. This detailed health screening includes the following:

• A screen for cancer (not exhaustive) through tumor markers and hormonal studies
• A screen for expanded inflammatory markers to add to the traditional cardiovascular risk factors (e.g. hsCRP and Rheumatoid Factor)
• A test of serum fibrinogen to look at basic coagulation abnormalities
• A STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) profile that includes a viral study for HIV

Recommendation:

• For adults who want a further assessment of their general health that includes cancer screening and an investigation into further additional lifestyle risk factors
• Suitable for individuals 40 years of age and above

Diagnostic Items

ATLAS IV boasts a further detailed health screening program that includes a screen for cancer (not exhaustive), hormonal studies, a screen for expanded inflammatory markers to add to the traditional cardiovascular risk factors and an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) profile that includes a viral study for HIV.

 ATLAS V

ATLAS FIVE encompasses all of ATLAS IV and builds upon it by including additional tests like the treadmill exercise test. The ATLAS FIVE boasts a further detailed health screening program that includes the following:

• An expanded lipid profile – Apo A1, Apo B and Apo B to A1 Ratio
  This is known as a residual risk assessment. This assessment searches for other abnormal lipids in the blood which in turn facilitates further accuracy in the detection of possible lipid plaque burden in the coronary arteries. This expanded lipid profile is useful for adults that may potentially have higher risk of coronary artery disease.

• A treadmill exercise test (subject to prevailing Ministry of Health Guidelines*)
  The treadmill exercise stress test is used to assess the function of heart and to look for significant coronary artery disease, exercise-induced abnormal heart rhythms, blood pressure response to exercise and cardiovascular fitness. Based on the Ministry of Health recommendations, the following individuals are recommended to take the treadmill exercise stress test*:

• Adults (males > 45 years old or females > 55 years old) who are planning to start on a moderate or high intensity exercise regime
• Adults experiencing chest pain
• Adults who possess high cardiovascular risk (e.g. first degree relative has suffered a heart attack before age 55 years (male) and 65 years (female) or possess multiple cardiovascular risk factors)
• Adults with an established history of diabetes (especially those >40 years for cardiovascular risk assessment or those planning to start moderate intensity exercise)
• Those with occupations requiring minimal fitness standards or whose jobs have a potential impact on public safety

Recommendation:

• For individuals requiring a more comprehensive health screening program that includes a treadmill exercise test
• Suitable for overweight and obese individuals

ATLAS SIX builds on ATLAS V providing you with a comprehensive health screening and includes the following:

• An Anti-CCP test (to detect anti-bodies with a high accuracy for rheumatoid arthritis)
• A Lipoprotein (a) test (an important emerging lipid protein that may pre-dispose to coronary artery disease; Lipoprotein (a) is highly prevalent in Asian countries)
• A test for the Hepatitis C Antibody (also increasingly prevalent in Asia)
• Hormonal Studies (male and female)
• A test for Vitamin D which is a vital indicator of bodily immunity (Vitamin D deficiency is prevalent amongst Singaporeans)

• A Helicobacter Pylori test to look for increased risk of peptic ulcer

ATLAS VI adds on to ATLAS V by including an Anti-CCP test, a Lipoprotein (a) test, a test for the Hepatitis C Antibody, a test for Vitamin D, a Serum Magnesium test, and a test for Helicobacter Pylori. It also includes hormonal studies and an extensive anaemia profile.

 ATLAS VII

ATLAS SEVEN encompasses all of ATLAS VI and boasts a further detailed health screening program that also covers sleep apnoea and brain age tests. ATLAS Seven builds upon ATLAS VI by including the following:

• A detailed assessment of atherosclerosis (i.e. cholesterol deposition in the vessels of the vascular bed)
• An ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) assessment – an assessment for peripheral vascular disease of the lower limbs
• A CIMT (Carotid Intima Media Thickness) assessment – an assessment that investigates the two major carotid arteries in the neck that supply blood to the brain
• A CASP (Central Aortic Systolic Pressure) assessment – a noninvasive procedure that assesses high blood pressure and its effect on the body’s vital organs. It measures the pressure of the aorta which is the main artery that delivers blood from the heart to the various parts of the body
• An abdominal ultrasound
• An assessment of your ‘brain age’ and risk of early dementia
• A sleep apnoea assessment

In addition to your “heart age”, an assessment of your “brain age” and risk of early dementia will also be undertaken. These assessments allow for some basic comparisons between your chronological age versus your biological age. A sleep apnoea assessment is also included in ATLAS VII as a preliminary evaluation of your sleep pattern.

• An assessment of Cardiac Biomarkers:
